The regional limited overs series scheduled to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA next month has been postponed.
A source close to the West Indies Cricket Board said the decision had been taken since authorities in Fort Lauderdale were not ready to proceed with the tournament and had asked for some time to fine-tune preparations.
It is understood that the WICB is now looking towards the end of November to play the series which replaces the KFC Cup.
The WICB has already agreed to give regional players three weeks off to attend the Stanford training camp in October and the Stanford Twenty20 for 20 clash takes place towards the end of October, leading up to the grand clash between the Stanford All Stars and England on November 1.
The KFC Cup was played over the last three years but the contract was not renewed when it expired last year.
According to the source, the WICB was able to source a sponsor from Fort Lauderdale who wanted the tournament played in the United States. -CMC
