A 30-MEMBER Trinidad and Tobago team will be participating in the North America, Central America and Caribbean Regional Track and Field Championships.

The championships will take place in Clermont, Florida, United States from Thursday until Sunday.

And the TT athletes will be participating in events, for varying age- groups, from 30-79 years. Among the national team members are former local track and field star Monica Tang Wing - a gold medallist in the 2007 World Masters Games in Riccione, Italy (300-metre hurdles and heptathlon silver medallist), Ossie Rogers, Herman Reyes, Kenrick Russell, Robert Stevenson, Yvonne Mitchell, Joyce Thomas and Irma Riley.

The USA, Canada, Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and the majority of the Caribbean islands will field teams at the event, with Trinidad and Tobago looking to better their medal haul from the 2006 edition in Guatemala, where they copped 42 medals, including 19 gold.
