TCL leads as the Cross Listed Index rises

Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) started off the week as volume leader with 106,633 share exchanging hands for $1.01 million, while Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL) led in terms of value as 61,791 shares were traded for $1.79 million. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCBJ) posted a trade volume of 82,009 shares and trade value of $151,806.65.

One Caribbean Media Limited (OCM) traded 23,600 shares for $431,880.00. Overall trade volume for yesterday stood at 297,545, while traded value was at $3.79 million. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation (PLD) and Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SBTT) stepped up by $0.01 each to $1.86, $10.11 and $41.61. Declines were led by Guardian Holdings Limited, which suffered a loss of $0.84 to close on $28.99. Trinidad Cement Limited fell by $0.49 down to $9.50, as First Caribbean International Bank Limited (FCL) slipped by $0.01 to $11.44.

The Mutual Fund Market did not witness any activity. Thus prices remained at $5.16 for Caribbean Property Fund (CPF), $5.00 for Praetorian Property Mutual Fund (PPMF) and $75.98 for SavInvest India Asia Fund (SIAF).

The Second Tier Market was inactive, leaving prices at $1.00 for FNCU-Venture Capital Company Limited (FNCU) and $8.25 for Mora Ven Holdings Limited (MOV).

The Bond Market did not record any activity.

The Composite Index fell by 3.12 points to 1,523.45. The Cross Listed Index, however, gained 0.03 points closing on 92.22.
