Trading
activity experienced a significant decline on Thursday as trade
volume fell from highs posted on Tuesday and Wednesday to close
at 195,766 shares with a corresponding value of $1.70 million.
National Flour Mills Limited led the market with 61,946 shares being
traded for $70,937.56. Prestige Holdings Limited added 60,000 shares
valued at $272,996.00. Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation
Limited and National Enterprises Limited contributed 21,548 shares
and 16,204 shares with trade values amounting to $189,668.15 and
$194,448.00 respectively. Guardian Holdings Limited ended the day
with 12,600 of its shares crossing the floor of the exchange for
$390,314.30, the days highest trade value.
Republic Bank Limited posted a gain of $0.50 pushing its price up
to $102.00, while Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Limited and National
Enterprises Limited increased by $0.41and $0.24 to $37.69 and $12.00
in that order. LJ Williams Limited B climbed $0.04 to close on $1.70,
while Prestige Holdings Limited ticked up $0.01 ending at $4.55.
PLIPDECO Limited led declines with a fall of $0.25 down to $8.75,
while Trinidad Cement Limited suffered a loss of $0.20 as it closed
on $10.75. One Caribbean Media shed $0.02 ending the day at an even
$19.00. Capital & Credit Financial Group Limited, Guardian Holdings
Limited (GHL), National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, Neal &
Massy Holdings Limited and Scotia DBG Investments Limited slipped
by $0.01 each and closed on $0.84, $30.98, $2.09, $64.99 and $2.99
in that order.
There was no trading on the Mutual Fund market.
The Second Tier Market witnessed trading activity as 2,000 shares
of Mora Ven Holdings Limited were exchanged for $14,020.00, its
price moved up by 10 per cent to $7.01.
Both the Composite Index and the All T&T Index experienced gains,
with the Composite increasing by 2.19 points to 1,154.62 and the
All T&T climbing 5.29 points to 1,516.85. The Cross Listed Index
continued to fall, this time losing 0.10 points as it closed on
97.54.
