HARINATH RAMDAWAR of Caroni Savannah Road, Charlieville, no longer gets wet every time he goes to his garden.

Ramdawar said a water leak in the road caused passing vehicles to splash water into his yard and sometimes on him.

He said he reported the incident to WASA on several occasions and when he got no positive feedback, he turned to Hotline.

Last Monday, the same day Ramdawar’s problem was highlighted, he said technicians visited him early in the morning and began working on the burst pipe.

“Within an hour of reading the article, workers were in front my house repairing the lines. I just want to say thank you to Newsday with all my heart because I greatly appreciate what was done.” Ramdawar said.
