Set in the lush foothills of Patna Village in Diego Martin, North West Drive snakes up through grassy hills leading to a myriad of narrow dirt tracks. About 20 years ago, North West Drive was predominantly an East Indian community, where everyone kept to themselves but had an intimate knowledge of each other. Over the years, however, that has changed with the infiltration of squattersincluding a few small islanderswho built clusters of wooden shacks overlooking North West Drive.
