Amidst continued speculation about whether Caricom countries
should sign the EPA on September 2, Prime Minister Manning
yesterday re-issued a call to countries to join the partnership
agreement.
We
are taking one step further, whoever wishes to join can
do so, the door is open to all countries, he said.
We
are going in a certain direction.
Manning issued the call in an interview during his visit
to the National Youth Assembly at the Grand Ballroom of
the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, St Anns.
It
is a significant and positive development for the Caribbean...
I
endorse a call for all Prime Ministers to join.
The
OECS countries and T&T have decided to buy into the
process, he added, noting, however, no country
is under obligation.
