John Barath Jr, who was found dead lying face down under a jetty along a beach in Cedros, was strangled, an autopsy revealed yesterday.

Police said Barath, 60, had no fixed place of abode and would often wander along the coastline. They said he did odd jobs in the village.

Jonathan Pierre, a fisherman, was walking along Fullerton Beach around 8.45 a.m. on Tuesday when he discovered the body.
