Jabloteh, Defence Force in Pro Bowl quarters

CLICO San Juan Jabloteh will be seeking to do far better than last season when they take on Defence Force from seven o'clock tonight in the second match of a Courts Pro Bowl quarter-final double-header at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.

Champions in 2004 and 2005, Jabloteh were knocked out at the same stage last year by eventual winners Vibe CT 105 W Connection.

Should they get past the Army-Coast Guard combination, they will set up another showdown with W Connection, who easily beat North East Stars by a 4-0 margin in their quarter-final on Friday night.

In the opening game at Malabar this evening, Neal & Massy Caledonia AIA are fancied to see off qualifiers St Ann's Rangers. But that match may yet turn out much closer than expected.

Rangers are struggling in the 2008 T&T Pro League, but fought W Connection all the way in last year's Pro Bowl final, holding them 2-2, before losing on penalties.

Caledonia can still beat anyone on their day, but have not regained the form which saw them lead the Pro League for most of last season. -Ian Prescott
