Caribbean Airlines (CA) has announced that it will introduce an additional flight from Port-of-Spain to Toronto from July 11, 2008. That will mean CA will operate 11 flights a week between Port-of-Spain and Toronto.

In a statement, the airline said that it took the decision after Air Canada’s decision to cancel its Toronto-Port-of-Spain services after August 31. The statement said CA will ensure that additional capacity is introduced and maintained to meet market needs now and in the future.

CA’s CEO Philip Saunders said the airline was proud that it was able to make the decision to increase its flights to Toronto just 24 hours after Air Canada announced its decision to end its service on the route.
