Two Canadian strength and conditioning experts have been invited by the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) and will arrive in Trinidad today to host a “paradigm changing” workshop.

The TTOC Sports Performance Strength and Conditioning workshop will be held at the Athletes Lounge of the Hasely Crawford Stadium from March 25 to April 2.

“The Canadians, Dr Perry Koziris and Alain Delorme are highly recommended,” said Larry Romany, president of the TTOC.

Over 40 coaches, athletes and interested persons have registered for the course and Romany explained that the seminar will provide valuable insight and knowledge to the participants.

“The concepts that will be shared will move TT Sport into the 21st century,” said Romany.

Dr Koziris is the exercise physiologist at the Canadian Sport Centre in Montreal and has co-authored a number of publications and is a column editor of Strength and Conditioning Journal. Koziris is also and associate editor of The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. His compatriot, Delorme, is a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee Games preparation team and has provided strength and conditioning advice to Canadian Olympic and professional athletes.
