ACTING Commissioner of Police (CoP) James Philbert accompanied by his two acting deputies, Maurice Piggott and Gilbert Reyes, met yesterday with officers of Police Central Division.

The Ag Commissioner asked officers to state their concerns and to recommend what could be done to improve service to their clients — residents and businessmen of Central Trinidad.

Philbert also asked the officers to give him and his executive their fullest support in a bid to deal with the escalating crime in the country. But while making this appeal Philbert made it absolutely clear that any form of indiscipline by police officers, junior or senior, will not be tolerated.

Philbert reiterated that all police officers should serve the public and do so with pride.
