Fifteen persons in the Freeport area were arrested in a police raid which took place from 6 pm Friday and ended at 6 am Saturday.

Among those held were two 27-year-olds, who were arrested and charged for having sex with minors – both incidents having taken place on Thursday. Three others were held and charged with possession of marijuana, while ten others were held on outstanding warrants.

The raid was carried out by newly promoted Inspector Ramsaran and Corporal Noyan of the Freeport Police Station.

All 15 persons will appear today before a Chaguanas magistrate.
